What to Bring


Suggested Equipment List:

  • 1 light weight mountain rifle
  • 3 x 9 compact variable scope c/w covers
  • 270 to 338 range is recommended
  • 2 boxes of ammunition
  • 1 pair of binoculars
  • 1 top quality down sleeping bag -- minimum rating of 0°F
  • 1 small duffle bag
  • 1 medium weight hunting coat (quiet material) **
  • 2 light hunting shirts **
  • 1 light weight hunting pants (quiet material) **
  • 1 medium weight hunting pants (quiet material)
  • 1 suit of light weight underwear
  • 1 suit of medium weight underwear
  • 3 pair of cotton underwear shorts
  • 3 pair of heavy wool socks
  • 3 pair of light socks
  • 1 vest
  • 1 ball cap (waxed)
  • 1 wool toque (stocking cap) **
  • 1 pair of unlined gloves
  • 1 pair of warm gloves or mittens with wool liners
  • 1 pair of boots with vibram type soles
  • 1 pair of camp shoes
  • 1 set of rain gear
  • 1 emergency blanket or bivy sac
  • 1 water bottle
  • 1 day pack

** For Fall Moose Hunts only:

Change to the following:
  • 1 medium weight wool jacket
  • medium weight wool pants
  • medium weight wool shirts
  • Insulated cap with ear-flaps
Add the following:
  • 1 pair of wool gaiters
  • 1 pair of insulated rubber bottom leather top boots
  • 1 spare pair of insoles for boots

Camp Supplies:

  • 1 towel
  • 1 face cloth
  • 1 shaving kit & toiletries
  • 1 small roll of duct tape
  • 2 Bic lighters
  • small packages of the following:
     - Anacin
     - Antacid tablets
     - Band-aids
     - Chapstick
     - Cold tablets
     - Moleskin
     - Prescription medicines

Optional Equipment:

  • GPS
  • Range finder
  • Spotting Scope
  • 1 satellite phone
  • 1 camera c/w 6 rolls of film
  • 1 hunting knife
  • 1 compact cleaning kit
  • 1 set of shooting sticks (moose hunts)
  • 1 compact lightweight fishing gear

Try to stick to the above equipment list. Here is a short list of some of the more common items unnecessarily brought into camp. Be assured we have everything you could possibly think of and more.

We provide the following:

  • first aid kits
  • therm-a-rest mattresses
  • cowboy bag covers for your sleeping bags
  • snack foods (candy bars, dried fruit, trail mixes)
  • some drinks (Tang, Gatorade, coffee, tea )
  • toilet paper
