Trophy Preparation
Clients should anticipate having a non-hunting day after an animal is harvested. This allows time for meat retrieval as well as trophy processing and care.
Trophy Shipments
Trophy shipping is very expensive compared to a client taking the trophy with them. One of the easiest way to ship either moose or caribou horns is to split them at the skull cap. This reduces the expense by more than half. If a client wishes, we can arrange to have the horns shipped at the client's expense. This wouldn't take place until some time in early winter.
Meat
In order to keep client costs down, we assume responsibility for all game meat. We gift it to a number of needy families along the Mackenzie River. If a client wishes to take some prime cuts home, we freeze it and pack it in their gear. The meat can be taken out at night and kept frozen at whatever hotel the client is staying.
