Rio Grande Nature Center State Park you know is going to put you right on the Rio Grande River. That’s going to make for a nice place to visit. You can already likely imagine what you might want to do on this 270 acre property. The first thing that came to mind for me was a picnic. Hey, I like food! Make your way to Candelaria Road, and you will find Rio Grande Nature Center State Park. Watch the wildlife, walk the trails, check out the viewing area and much more.

The Petroglyph National Monument is a wonderful stop for your vacation plans, too. The rock images you’re going to find there are prehistoric, and there are thousands of them. All you have to do is make your way to the Western Trail, which is located along Unser Boulevard. Check out Boca Negra Canyon, bring water and make sure you stop by the visitors center. This will be an adventure.

The Sandia Trails are also an adventure. They put you where the Rio Grande River is located, too. During certain times of the year, people talk about snow shoeing in the Sandia Mountains. How cool is that? Whatever time of the year you stop by to walk the Sandia Trails, you and your family are going to have fun for sure. Be sure to take in those mountain views.

Sometimes you want to be where all the action is at enjoying shopping, dining and all of that good stuff. When it’s time to take a break from nature and historical attractions, possibly finding a different type of entertainment, stop on by Cottonwood Mall. Shop till you drop at the mall located off of Coors Bypass.
